Checkpoint 07: Native GUI/display migration IN PROGRESS
Parent: PHLEGM-v8-Developer-Distribution-Archive-Lib-06-2026-1007-1442-0486.zip

User requested checkpoint during implementation. This is a recoverable source checkpoint, not a release or a claim of all 12 targets passing.
Requested matrix: Windows/Linux x 32/64 x OpenGL/D3D11/Vulkan. All 12 combinations remain required. Existing build metadata/guards still need expansion.
Checkpoint 06 native tree/archive library separation remains intact (no runtime PowerShell archive operations).

Implemented in this stage: Linux GTK3 control GUI; shared data-driven command-tree providers; lazy media hierarchy; tree/icons switch; native/Packard Bell CHR font switch; CHR tree/icon label images and width-based text reflow; native and CHR status/history panes; PPU/APU diagnostic toggles; Pause/Step/Power/Reset/Instance controls; native macro property prompt/editor; memory editor writes via monitor permissions; native CHR preview with shared mono/NES/SNES planar tile decoder and bank buttons. Linux GUI and drawchr object compilation passed.
Machine display work: shared SDL window/input/presentation surface; explicit OpenGL renderer selection; Windows D3D11 selection through SDL; common presentation scaling; CPU-side CHR diagnostics overlay (FPS plus actual frame skip, 3x, 80% green on 50% black); OS-neutral registered-window routing; Linux filter buffers use native allocation. Removed Linux dependence on Win32 GUI and GDI presentation code. Shared CPU/microcode behavior remains data-driven.
Native Linux confirmation uses GTK; session timestamps reuse native console Phoenix clock; remaining media temporary PID uses native CRT.

NOT FINISHED: Linux Vulkan presenter and DXVK Native D3D11 presenter; Vulkan ABI declarations have been drafted but are not yet integrated or verified. Full target matrix verification, dependency provisioning, GUI interaction/visual QA, display runtime and packaging validation remain outstanding. Native GUI/CHR tools have not been exercised on a graphical Linux desktop here (no display server available). Windows runtime and 32-bit runtime remain unverified.
Latest full Linux x86_64 OpenGL compilation passed source generation and reached linking; first link failed because this environment lacked the libgmodule development symlink. Final Linux x86_64 OpenGL link PASSED after adding the missing environment-only development symlink. The --help runtime check PASSED. No claim that other targets compile or that graphical presentation was runtime tested.

This checkpoint preserves the entire current work tree plus build/link diagnostics. Resume at gfx_vulkan_present.bi / gfx_d3d11_native.bi integration, then expand all backend guards/UI/build selectors and run matrix/runtime checks.
Text policy: normal project text CRLF, shell scripts LF; executable extension Linux .elf / Windows .exe.
